Description Start of poem: "O come all of my Statesmen if you will give ear I will tell you a story you will like much to hear concerning a riot which happened of late on the day of election as I will relate. This riot it happened in Otisfield town There was men of both parties standing around they was talking and voting for each nominee and anxious to know who elected would be. O Lovell and Sawyer was the two candidates Two versions of poem enclosed. A 3rd draft is in Coll. 56, Spurr Coll., Box 3 #24 to go to Augusta to help legislate if one was elected the other would not which made both the parties feel raving and hot..."
